Day 1
After clearing the immigrations and collecting your bags, you will need to come out and look for the sign Icefall Adventures. Our representative will greet you and take you to the hotel. In the evening, we will take you to a traditional Nepali restaurant for welcome dinner.
Day 2
You will spend the second day sightseeing around Kathmandu - there’s the monkey temple, the Boudhanath Stupa and some ancient heritages of Nepal to be visited. In the latter half of the afternoon our guides will brief you and help you sort out all the equipment for the trip.
Day 3
The flight to Lukla is one adventurous ride that you’re never going to forget. The flight is only 25 minutes long and you get so immersed in the view outside the airplane window that the flight will seem too short. However, do expect occasional bumps during your flight and sit tight when you’re about to land in the world’s most dangerous airport. The first trekking day is comparatively easy and the walk between Lukla and Phakding takes
only 3 hours if you are a really good hiker. Since it is your first day trekking, you can walk leisurely and enjoy the scenery around you.
Day 4
The strenuous part of the trek begins today and the trail is mostly uphill after you cross Jorsale. The ascent never stops until you reach Namche after climbing a tiring 700 meters! The hike to Namche is infact one of the more difficult trekking days during the entire trek.
Day 5
Today is acclimatization day. We will hike up to Everest View Hotel, the first luxurious hotel build in the region for Japanese people. We will enjoy the view of Everest and Amadablam as we walk towards Khumjung. We will visit the Hilary school, Khumjung village and go to Khunde. We will then walk back to Namche.
Day 6
From Namche, the trail ascend gently to Dole and the walk is quite pleasant, as you pass forests of rhododendron and small settlements.
Day 7
The landscape starts changing and it becomes more barren and dusty.
Day 8
You mostly have to follow the stone trail up to Gokyo lake. You can see the three beautiful lakes with amazing views.
Day 9
Wake up early morning and head-up to see the sunrise on the mountains from Gokyo Ri and you can see over 8000m peaks from here. Mount Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho-you and many more other peaks.
Day 10
Wake up early morning and head up to cross Chola pass and it takes 4 hours to get on the top. The trails goes all the way up with rocks. After crossing Chola pass and it take 2 hours to reach Dzongla.
Day 11
From Gorakshep, we will walk towards the base camp of Mount. Everest. The trekking to this region will be splendidly fantastic as every step will guide us nearer to the Everest peak. The round trip of Gorakshep to Everest base camp and then to Gorakshep may require about 6 to 7 hours.
Day 12
The hike up to Kalapathar is difficult because of the vertical gain in altitude and decreasing oxygen levels. However, if you’re well acclimatised the ascent is not more than two hours and the descent is quite easy. You can choose to climb this hill early morning before sunrise, or, after lunch when it is warmer.
Day 13
An early start makes you head down further to Namche. A long day of descent can be quite tiresome and hard on the knees.
Day 14
More downhill walking and some ascents will take you to Lukla, where you can celebrate your successful trek, get a chilled beer in one of the pubs or treat yourself to something sweet at the German bakery outside the airport.
Day 15
An early morning flight will take you to Kathmandu and you have the entire day for yourself. Eat as much as you want, go shopping or do nothing at all!
Day 16
Again our representatives will be there to transfer you to the airport and bid you farewell.
