Detail Itinerary

Day 1

On the very first day of your trip, you will experience something truly Nepalese; traditional Nepalese dinner. But rest assured our representatives will be there to pick you up at the airport, help you check in to your hotel and then take you out for dinner.

Day 2

You will spend the second day sightseeing around Kathmandu - there’s the monkey temple, the Boudhanath Stupa and some ancient heritages of Nepal to be visited. In the latter half of the afternoon our guides will brief you and help you sort out all the equipment for the trip.

Day 3-4

On this day, we are busy for briefing about expedition, documentation and last minute shopping and preparation for departure to the trekking and climbing route. You will be kept in get set position.

Day 5

The highway between Kathmandu and Pokhara follows deep river valleys, across bridges and modern townships with roadhouses for travelers to stop and eat. The journey is about 6-7 hours long and if we start early you’ll be in Pokhara by mid day. You can spend the rest of the day strolling around Lakeside, a chilled out place to eat and hang out, go paddling in the Phewa Lake and sort out any last minute trekking gear.

Day 6

Nayapul is an hours ride from Pokhara and is the starting point for our trek. Today’s destination is Tikhedhunga which is a 540 meter ascent from Nayapul. The trail starts with a steep set of stairs, levelling up to some flat fields and then ascends up a hill into the woods before ending in Tikhedhunga.

Day 7

The strenuous part of the trek begins today as you climb 3500 stone steps only to reach Ulleri which is only halfway to Ghorepani. The ascent never stops until you reach Ghorepani after climbing a tiring 1300 meters! The hike to Ghorepani is in fact one of the more difficult trekking days during the entire trek.

Day 8

An early morning ascent of Poon Hill Hill (3210m) makes sure you see an extraordinary sunrise view, where the sun seems to rise from behind the mountains. You’ll then head back to your tea house for an early lunch before you start walking to Tadapani. After an initial steep incline the trail becomes flat as you enter a heavily forested surrounding. Look out for monkeys, mountain goats and snakes!

Day 9

A day of ups and downs as you walk past small settlements of different ethnic groups, several waterfalls and suspension bridges before you reach your tea house in Chhomrong. Chhomrong is the last prosperous village on your way to the Sanctuary.

Day 10

More ups and downs as the trail first dives downhill to a stream and just when you adjust to the dive it climbs steeply to Sinuwa. You’ll have lunch in Sinuwa and after walking and scrambling across some cliff section you reach Dobang.

Day 11

The landscape starts changing and big trees are replaced by shrubs as you hike to Deurali. On the way you’ll come across the magical ‘Hinku Cave’ and several waterfalls, some of which remain frozen during winter.

Day 12

The hike from Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp is only two hours. We do not move on to Annapurna Base Camp because it is another 300 meters. A day in Machhapuchhre Base Camp gives you enough time for acclimatization and you can explore the surrounding areas in your leisure time.

Day 13

Today you’ll walk into the ‘Sanctuary of the Gods’ to Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 14-44

During this period you’ll stay for a few weeks in the Base Camp where your guides will help you prepare for the climb. You’ll be taught how to use your equipment and get familiar with technical climbing techniques. By Day 44 you’ll have made it to the summit and returned to Base Camp.

Day 45

From Annapurna Base Camp you’ll retrace your steps to Dobang via Deorali.

Day 46

Another day of ups and downs as you walk past small settlements of different ethnic groups, several waterfalls and suspension bridges before you reach your tea house in Chhomrong.

Day 47

After a hearty breakfast against the backdrop of picturesque scenery you start walking to Landruk. Once you arrive in Landruk, you can take a leisurely walk around the little stone village and observe the local lifestyle and culture.

Day 48

From Landruk the trail first climbs quite steeply until Deurali and then descends gently to Pothana. Pothana offers a really magnificent view of the Machhapuchhre peak.

Day 49

The last hiking day is quite pleasant because the trail between Pothana and Phedi descends only gently and the scenery is very beautiful. A 4X4 will be waiting for you in Phedi to take you back to Pokhara.

Day 50

The journey between Pokhara and Kathmandu is about 5 hours long and if we start early you’ll be in Kathmandu by mid day. You can spend the rest of the day strolling around the eateries and souvenir shops of Thamel.

Day 51-52

On this day, you head to the thamel for shopping and preparation

Day 53

Again our representatives will be there to transfer you to the airport and bid you farewell.
