Day 1
On the very first day of your trip, you will experience something truly Nepalese; traditional Nepalese dinner. But rest assured our representatives will be there to pick you up at the airport, help you check in to your hotel and then take you out for dinner.
Day 2
You will spend the second day sightseeing around Kathmandu - there’s the monkey temple, the Boudhanath Stupa and some ancient heritages of Nepal to be visited. In the latter half of the afternoon our guides will brief you and help you sort out all the equipment for the trip.
Day 3
In one word, the drive to Besisahar is ‘scenic’. Although it takes six hours to reach Besisahar, you get so immersed in surrounding landscapes that the long and tiring journey will seem short. But, be ready for some occasional bumps in the road and some really sharp turns!
Day 4
After a hearty breakfast in the small town of Besisahar, follow a trail that begins in the farmlands, walk along the Marsyangdi River, cross a suspension bridge and stop for lunch in Bhulbhule. After lunch hike further up to Ngadi for your first tea house experience.
Day 5
Continue following the Marsyangdi River and cross several footbridges as you walk through humid rice fields on your way to the village of Syange.
Day 6
The strenuous part of the trek begins today and the trail gets steep as soon as you start walking. Some waterfalls and suspension bridges over the Marsyangdi river, however, reward you for all the hard work.
Day 7
The trail has many ups and downs until Dharapani (1890m) and then its mostly uphill to Bagarchhap. You can see the influence of Tibetan culture along the way as you walk past houses with Tibetan architecture.
Day 8
You’ll leave Bagarchhap early in the morning following a relatively easy path to Danagyu, Thanchok and finally Chame. Chame is the headquarters of the Manang district and is quite huge and busy compared to the small settlements that you pass on the way.
Day 9
No strenuous ascent today - just a steady climb up to Pisang. On the way you’ll pass the villages of Bhratang and Dhukur Pokhari and come across the Swargadwari Danda, a magnificent hill with an impressive snow rock face.
Day 10
There are two routes to Manang from Pisang - an easy low route and a high route that takes you across some splendid scenery. Our trail takes you on the high route not only because of the views it offers, but also because it offer you the needed acclimatization.
Day 11
A spare day in the village of Manang helps you in acclimatization and allows you to explore its many interesting places. You can visit the Praken Goma, hike to the Gangapurna Ice Lake and also visit Bragha, another lively village just outside of Manang.
Day 12
The trail between Manang and Leder ascends more than 600 meters as you climb steadily through Tenki Manang, as it leaves the Marsyangdi valley and continues along the Jarsang Khola valley.
Day 13
Hike from Leder to Chulu East Base Camp and discovers the areas surrounding the Base Camp.
Day 14-19
During this period you’ll stay for a few days in the Base Camp where your guides will help you prepare for the climb. You’ll be taught how to use your equipment and get familiar with technical climbing techniques. By Day 19 you’ll have made it to the summit and returned to Leder.
Day 20
The trail first ascends steeply for two hours and then descends to a river reaching an altitude of 4310 meters before you start climbing again to Thorang Phedi.
Day 21
Crossing the Thorang La Pass is hard work, because you wake up really early in the morning to hike across a rugged path which is covered with snow during winter. More than the path, the altitude can make the hike difficult because you climb more than 1000 meters until the pass. The descent is also quite exhausting because the descent is a staggering 1700 meters. After some long hours of climbing, scrambling and descending you’ll reach Muktinath, located just at the foot of the Thorang La mountain pass.
Day 22
The trail descends to Kagbeni passing through some interesting villages and gives you a taste of the forbidden Mustang kingdom. Along the path you’ll also come across a 2,700 year old cave settlement just above Myabruk.
Day 23
The trail between Kagbeni and Marpha is mostly downhill and the descent is not more than 200 meters. Marpha is an interesting village where all the houses look alike - it also has some of the best food on this trek.
Day 24
From Marpha the trail descends gently to Ghasa and the walk is quite pleasant passing through forests of pine and rhododendron.
Day 25
The walk from Ghasa to Tatopani is mostly downhill and quite pleasant. Tatopani is famous for its hot springs and is a great place to relax after two weeks of trekking.
Day 26
The last hiking day is quite pleasant because the trail between Tatopani and Beni is mostly ‘Nepali’ flat and the scenery is very beautiful. A 4X4 will be waiting for you in Beni to take you back to Pokhara.
Day 27
The journey between Pokhara and Kathmandu is about 5 hours long and if we start early you’ll be in Kathmandu by mid day. You can spend the rest of the day strolling around the eateries and souvenir shops of Thamel.
Day 28
An entire day in Kathmandu for yourself. Eat as much as you want, go shopping or do nothing at all! If you’re not trek weary, we’ll take you to the Last Resort for an adrenaline pumping bungee jumping adventure.
Day 29
Again our representatives will be there to transfer you to the airport and bid you farewell.
