Detail Itinerary

Day 1

On the very first day of your trip, you will experience something truly Nepalese; traditional Nepalese dinner. But rest assured our representatives will be there to pick you up at the airport, help you check in to your hotel and then take you out for dinner.

Day 2

You will spend the second day sightseeing around Kathmandu - there’s the monkey temple, the Boudhanath Stupa and some ancient heritages of Nepal to be visited. In the latter half of the afternoon our guides will brief you and help you sort out all the equipment for the trip.

Day 3

Meet at our office before flying to Nepalgunj. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 4

Catch an early morning flight to the Juphal Airport. The first trekking day is comparatively easy and the walk between Juphal and Dunai takes only 3 hours if you are a really good hiker. Since it is your first day trekking, you can walk leisurely and enjoy the scenery around you.

Day 5-8

Dunai is the last town on your way to the Phoksundo lake. From there it takes about 2 days to reach the lake. The nearest permanent settlement near the lake is Roha Gaun. Our itinerary gives you an entire day to explore the magnificent turquoise blue Phoksundo lake.

Day 9-11

Cross the Kang La and trek to inner Dolpo, following a winding river valley to Shey Gompa - also known as the ‘Crystal Monastery’.

Day 12-13

Explore the Crystal Mountain and its surrounding areas. Also visit the Tsa Kang Gompa, a monastery perched high on the ledge of a cliff. Finally trek to the village of Shey.

Day 14-25

Cross the Saldang La, Lagmuse and Baga La Passes, discover some more remote villages, visit the Yangjer Gompa as you hike back to Juphal following a different trail.

Day 26

Catch an early morning flight to Nepalgunj and take another flight to Kathmandu. You can spend the rest of the day strolling around the eateries and souvenir shops of Thamel.

Day 27

An entire day in Kathmandu for yourself. Eat as much as you want, go shopping or do nothing at all! If you’re not trek weary, we’ll take you to the Last Resort for an adrenaline pumping bungee jumping adventure.

Day 28

Again our representatives will be there to transfer you to the airport and bid you farewell.
